Mr. William Owen Byrd of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away at his residence on Monday, June 18th, 2012 at the age of 90 years. He was born February 17th, 1922 in Russellville, Alabama the son of Ernest Byrd and Lena Smith Byrd. He worked as a mechanic on most any kind of equipment.

Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, Hollis; Wallace; Elan; Junior; Roy; Eugene and Marvin, and one sister Grace.

He survived by two sons, Hershal & spouse Paula Byrd and Danny Lyn Byrd both of Fredericksburg, one daughter, Marilyn Levon of Old Hickory, Tennessee

Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren

One sister, Mildred Kimbrough of Alabama

Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 at 1:00 P. M. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg, with Dr. Donald Higginbotham officiating.

Memorial in his honor may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
