Earlene Ahrens Moore

Mrs. Earlene Ahrens Moore nee Hahn passed away on Friday March 2nd in the Tri Star Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 85 years.

Earlene was born May 10, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Eddie and Edna Crenwelge Hahn.

Because of the start of WWII, Earlene was able to obtain her teaching certificate at the age of 18. She taught in the Nebgen Country School and in the Cave Creek School. In 1956 she started teaching at St. Mary’s Catholic School and was there until her retirement in 1989.

Earlene married Maxie Ahrens on June 4, 1946 and after he passed away in 1977 she later married Albert Moore who also precedes her in death.

Earlene is survived by one son: Jimmy Ahrens of Fredericksburg Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren Brother and spouse: Arthur Lynn and Julia Hahn of Fredericksburg Daughter-in-law: Vickie, Mrs. Jerald Ahrens

Along with her parents and husbands, Earlene was preceded in death by a son Jerald Ahrens and a brother, Eddie Hahn.

The body will lie in state in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home until 12:45 p.m. on Monday with a Mass of Resurrection at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.

Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

Rosary services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Schaetter Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Doss Vol. Fire Dept, St. Mary’s Capital Campaign, or to the charity of your choice.

Visitation for Earlene Ahrens Moore will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. in the Schaetter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: James and Jared Ahrens, Jody Jones, Tyler Coats, Gary Lynn Hahn, and Gerald Frantzen.

Honorary pallbearers: Hyden and Dylan Ahrens, Tyler, Mackenzie, and Rylie Coats, Madisyn and Gavyn Coats.
